NCOIS would like to congratulate to PhD student, Adam Shoesmith, who has received the College Annual HDR Award, College of Medicine and Public Health for the best confirmation of the year.
The College Annual HDR Awards are adjudicated by the University of Newcastle. Students undertaking a higher degree by research (HDR) program at the University of Newcastle may enter either a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree. University of Newcastle HDR programs involve a supervised research project undertaken by the student, demonstrating their ability to contribute to knowledge in a specified field of study.
Adam’s PhD work for which the award was given is titled; A Randomised Trial of an Intervention to Sustain Primary Schools Implementation of a State-Wide Physical Activity Policy.
NCOIS would also like to congratulate Nicole McCarthy for receiving a highly commended confirmation for her PhD project.
