An Overview of Research Opportunities to Increase the Impact of Nutrition Intervention Research in Early Childhood and Education Care  Settings according to the RE-AIM Framework.

Early childhood and education care (ECEC) settings offer great opportunities to conduct research on young children’s healthy eating habits. The authors surveyed these opportunities and developed a list of recommendations aligned with the reach, effectiveness, adoption, implementation and maintenance (RE-AIM) framework. They identified digital platforms (reach) and family day care settings (effectiveness) as areas of opportunity and saw a need for a better understanding of the long-term effects of interventions.
