There are many policies and guidelines for childcare services that aim to improve children’s eating habits and physical activity levels to prevent unhealthy weight gain. But many childcare services do not follow the recommended practices and programmes. This paper is a review of studies where support is provided to childcare services to help them follow the recommendations. Although there is some evidence that support strategies can be effective, much more research is needed.
