The Association between Australian Childcare Centre Healthy Eating Practices and Children’s Healthy Eating Behaviours: A Cross-Sectional Study within Lunchbox Centres

This study looked inside the lunchboxes of children in childcare centres where parents pack foods from home. It also looked at the healthy eating practices of the centres being studied and whether this influenced the children’s intake of healthy and unhealthy foods. This is an important study because it is the first of its kind in Australian lunchbox centres. The findings provide important information for policy makers and practitioners interested in improving child nutrition in this sector.
