Dissemination and implementation (D&I) science bridges the gap between research (e.g., evidence-based programs, interventions, practices, policies, guidelines) and practice (e.g., what is routinely delivered in real-world community and clinical settings). Most articles about D&I science to date have been aimed at a U.S. audience. This paper provides an introduction to D&I for a global audience and includes case studies, opportunities and innovations for advancing the field.
