Knowledge Translation in Action – 2022

We were excited to host this webinar to learn more about translating knowledge into policy and practice. Our Centre’s Director and Professor of the University of Newcastle, Luke Wolfenden provided an overview and shared his team’s findings from their recent study.

Dr Alex Chung (VicHealth Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Monash University) and Maddie Heenan (Research Officer & PhD candidate – The Australian Prevention Partnership Centre & The George Institute for Global Health) presented two case studies describing the development of a knowledge synthesis approach for decision makers working in chronic disease prevention.

Professor Rebecca Golley (Deputy director – Flinders Caring Futures Institute) presented an exploration of the science and art of knowledge translation using case studies from two national projects: VegKIT and EPOCH.

All presenters have generously shared their presentation slides with us. Links to the articles in the presentations (where relevant) can be found in the slides. Luke Wolfenden – presentation slidesMaddie Heenan & Alex Chung – presentation slidesRebecca Golley – presentation slides.
